Ok, I know the contreversy over Brooks maybe being stupid, dumb, etc., but I came across some information about Horn that was kinda weird to hear. I just moved to a city in Virginia, and we got a new head coach for my High School football team. He so happened to coach Joe at Itawamba (MS) JC, and he told me the story of Horn. He signed originally with Clemson, but didn't make good enough grades. So he signed with Itawamba, and still didn't get a degree or pass enough. Anyone think maybe our whole team is like this? Plus, this is something for you Brooks fans to gnaw and make fun of the Horn fans ;).

Also, did anyone watch the 2000 QB challenge, the one where Brooks took 2nd? He looked good out there, finishing ahead of QB's like Flutie, Plummer, and Peyton Manning. He also was the most vocal of the bunch too. He lost in the last round to Jeff Garcia, BTW.

Why would Brooks' fans want to gnaw at Horn fans? He might not be good in the classroom, but he sure catches a lot of footballs. I don't believe a lot of people have degrees in the NFL. They are making a better living doing what they do best... play football. If you really think about it, lost of underclassmen leave early and are doing pretty fine for themselves. They can always take summer classes or finish school after their career ends.

No one questions Brooks physical attributes, he's extremely gifted. Everyone is just disgusted that he hasn't put it all together and taken this team to the next level.

The title of this thread is misleading. This is neither interesting nor facts. :wink:

Yeah, very true. I was just putting my two cents in. Its weird though because most of our best players aren't the birghtest, but the best all around athletes.

Had one of those since he got his number when we first drafted him. I hope he makes me proud to where it now. It's all faded and stuff. I got my eye on a white Deuce and a white A-Mac.

A wide receiver does not have to be as smart as a QB -- he only needs to learn and run his routes -- A qb needs to learn all of the plays -- needs to be able to read the defense's alignment and make audibles on the line -- needs to read the coverage while being rushed -- etc --- So not sure what your argument is here --

But if you know the coverages, how the defenses work, and what they usually do, the WR and QB would hook up alot more than usual (Peyton and Harrison.) WR's also know what the audibles change to, incase it comes to them, they need to know what they do if the go into motion, run block, and learn to change on the go. I really wasn't trying to start an arguement, just trying to put something out there. Also Whodi, I got a black Deuce for my birthday, and in 3 months its in pretty bad shape. Yeah, the white jerseys would look nice too.

Those gold numbers seem to fade quick on the balck ones faster than the black numbers do on the white jerseys. I mean, I have had this Stallworth for 3 years, but after like the second wach the gold numbers were fading. The white ones seem to hold the black better, so I definitely need to get a couple of those.

Here's something else about Horn i just heard... while on the western caravan tour, the Saints stopped by a casino, and within 45 minuted Joe hit jackpots for over 45 grand in the high rollers slot machine area. Brooks lost 1 grand at roulette. Now who is better athelete?

Ok so this has nothing to do with on-the-field play either, but news is extremely hard to come by right now and this is all i could dig up.
