Dealing with undisclosed injury
Kirkwood was limited by an undisclosed injury at June minicamp, Rod Walker of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
ANALYSIS Kirkwood caught on with New Orleans as an undrafted rookie last season, catching 13 of 21 targets for 209 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. He even enjoyed a stretch of time as the team's No. 3 receiver, but now he'll need to battle for the fourth or fifth spot behind Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn and Tre'Quan Smith. The list of candidates for depth roles at wide receiver includes Rishard Matthews, Cameron Meredith (knee), Austin Carr and Simmie Cobbs. https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=13019 |
Re: Dealing with undisclosed injury
Didn't Kirkwood exit his last game with a quad injury?
Those "undisclosed" (+Larry Warford) injuries scare me, even in mid June. |
Re: Dealing with undisclosed injury
Sure hope Kirkwood can recover quickly and/or soldier through it his hands and size would be terrific for us...
Vision for him would be like that of an Alshon Jeffery-type where he won't burn anyone with speed, but can out-physical DBs at the high-point of routes... |
Re: Dealing with undisclosed injury
He ain't hurt. We're resting him!:p
