Re: Offense pre camp analysis

I will add that the biggest question mark for me is our running game. It’s essential to Brees longevity at this point. Kamara is great but I don’t think he can do it on his own. Murray HAS to produce and I really hope they can bond like Kamara and MI did. I think MI locker room presence is going to be missed. I’m not Familiar enough with Murray to say it was a good move or not. Hope he is eager to split carries. Is he more of a 3rd down/goal line type of back or will he be a threat to break loose?

^^^ Latavius Murray isn't a question mark for me. Big back with home run ability + he can catch and is above average in pass protection. Essentially we've added another weapon in the passing game.

One thing I saw with the Vikes & Murray ... there is no dancing, finds a lane and hits it. Doesn't fumble either.

Murray isn't as good as Ingram and he's not a stud #1 RB, but he's a good player at a good price who fits perfectly into the role as the complimentary power back to Kamara.

Key word again here is ... "fit". Sean Payton is better than most in seeing a certain skill set on offensive players & how to effectively use them in his style of offense.

Murray is not Ingram but he is a punishing big thumper that can also go the distance He exce!is at short yardage and goal line .I am confident about his being a contributing factor in the run game. It is just going to be different than Ingram . As Payton often says the team has a vision for him .It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I've been watching last years Vikings game. Murray looked good against us and had a big game. Let's hope he continues that trend.
