See where Forbes ranks the New Orleans Saints with the world's most valuable sports teams

The New Orleans Saints are the 50th most valuable sports franchise in the world, according to the latest rankings released by Forbes.

That's two spots down from its No. 48 rank in 2018 despite a 4 percent valuation increase in that time.

Here are the Saints' current valuation numbers, according to Forbes:

Value: $2.08 billion
1-Year % Change: 4%
Operating Income*: $115 million
The NFL dominated Forbes' list with the Dallas Cowboys securing the top spot for a fourth consecutive year. They're valued at $5 billion.

The Saints are owned by Gayle Benson. Benson also owns the New Orleans Pelicans, which did not make the list.

Of the top 50 most valuable sports teams, 26 are NFL franchises.

The Saints' NFC South division rival Atlanta Falcons (28th) and Carolina Panthers (38th) also cracked the top 50.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were listed at No. 49 in 2018 but did not make the top 50 in 2019.

The New York Knicks are up there as the highest NBA team and yet they are a complete joke. They just got clowned so hard by the other New York team over in Brooklyn, who may have a promising future now.

Dallas ranking #1 over and over and the team hasn't sniffed an NFC title game in nearly 25 years now.

Local Sports talk 103.3 up my way here in the DFW metroplex were just breaking this down on last night. DeathStar Nation aka Jerryland AT&T generated more than $150 million on "premium seating" revenue in addition to another $175M from sponsors. The team is literally generating over 800M in branding .

Were're talking more money than those European LaLiga soccer clubs.

The Cowboys organization as a whole is a monster.

50th in the world... I'm not even sure what that means.
But only 26th in the NFL? That doesn't seem right

Dallas was 9-7 in 2017 and their division rival up in Philly won the Super Bowl....

But did you know Dallas had 2 of the top 3 highest selling jerseys that year? So Jerry is the real winner. Money > Winning SBs.

Nearly 25 years now since they last made the NFC title game, but we'll have to keep hearing about those 3 SBs from the 90's over and over. Since Dallas won their last SB; Denver has won 3, New England has won 6, Pittsburgh has won 2, the Giants have won 2 and another division rival won theirs a few years ago. America's team, they are not.

I was simply responding to the topic of the headline (valuable teams) not wins & losses. But I agree with your last sentence, they are far removed from being labeled "America's team".

Atlanta is the most valuable franchise in our division?
