Saints Still Bringing in RB's

Alfred Morris stopping by for a look. A little concerning with 4 HB's in camp right now. He's over 30 and not a pass catcher. Camp body only thing I can see.

Morris signed with Dallas. I think the concern maybe overhyped. We've brought in competition at every other spot so no need for alarm.

It's only doing your due diligence to check out every free agent. You need what Mark Domminik calls an emergency list that you can contact at a moment's notice in case anyone goings down at this time of year and even beyond.

That was quick. The stories were 7 hrs apart. Agree though, it's these small details of tweaking the team. A lot of effort goes into finding small gains. Morris is decent, good team player. The second part is hard to measure but critical for team chemistry.

Morris fits Dallas better to be honest. I'm intrigued about Theo Riddick. The luxury of having another prominent receiving threat at HB would be very interesting. We wouldn't have to expend Kamara so heavily at times.

I’m assuming these rb’s coming in is Strickland to keep AK being AK. He loses some of his mystique if lined up in the backfield every play.

Has Murray done anything of note in camp? I haven’t read or heard a single thing about him.

He's not disappointing apparently. He's catching the ball well and gets along with Drew.

Just listened to the Payton interview again with Bruce Murray and Mark Domminik from yesterday. He said he was excited about what Murray can bring to the game plan. He said he had great size and the ability to take the outside line, plant his foot, and turn up field. He talked about both Murray and Kamara, but the only other RB he mentioned was Dwayne Washington (knowing the offense).

Murray DID NOT participate at today's practice.

I won't even try to speculate on the reason.

Anyway, football is a grind and the season is long.

There is definitely something happening...

Thinking a trade for Ingram.

To Guido's point, winning is the best 11 on the field. In today's game rarely does that look the same week in week out, its a game of attrition.

Payton is also going with a feature back for the first time since when??? He is shoring his bet.

It's the rats. Ingram is fed up with them in Baltimore. He's begging Payton to work something out and get him home.

Bobby said it was a vet day off. IF that is true it’s a good sign that he’s not having a problem with the playbook or learning the system.... Does make me nervous though.

Is he trying to go for a feature back? I think I remember him saying he planned on using him the same way he used Ingram and maybe a little more on 3rd and short. I got the impression he was counting on it.
