Re: Dez Bryant: I have no interest in playing football right now
I have never understood this fan base's hype over Dez Bryant. I'm guessing not many people watched his last year in Dallas or have just forgotten how bad he was in 2017.
Before he signed with the Saints, it was pretty much universally accepted everywhere that he was washed up and had been a disappointment in Dallas. Dak Prescott had the highest INT percentage of any QB targeting a specific WR when it came to Bryant in 2017. THAT was the reason Dallas wanted to move on with him, besides his mouth and attitude. Go back and watch tape of Dez in 2016 and 2017 and count all the dropped passes and how often the ball wound bounce out of his hands and become an INT. Dez had his peak around 2013-2015 and was never the same again after that. He was at best, a mediocre WR whom never lived up to his hype. You really have to consider why Dallas didn't want to bring him back with their lack of depth at WR last year. NO TEAM wanted him last year. Not even a desperate team like Buffalo or the Jets wanted him. He didn't have any stigma on him like Kaepernick with the protests, so you have to really think about this. There was a reason no one wanted him. We only kicked the tires at him when we desperately needed another WR and Brandon Marshall didn't work out. Dez spent months last year just sitting on the couch posting on Twitter. He came into practice out of shape and got hurt before he could even start a game for us. Knowing Dez, he would've dropped the ball or it would've bounced out of his hands and become an INT. |
