Jets going from Bridgewater to Sam Darnold. Perpetual moves like that is why the Jets bring the league so much joy and laughter. Thank God they took than trophy from us. People are starting to forget the Saints use to suck really really bad.

No, they're are just fewer and fewer people still alive to remember how bad this franchise was and how it ruined a talent in Archie Manning...

No one that played Friday night on that defensive line should be happy about that effort...

Minnesota ran on us and threw on us almost at will...

Hopefully it wakes this unit up to get it in gear, or the Saints may need to get active on the waiver wire...

This isn't about letting a bunch of end-of-their-career veterans tag along for a championship ring...

This is why I like trading for more picks and getting that defense younger, hungrier...

But I do agree about Teddy ...

He played well and his accuracy was on point.

Williams actually wasn’t bad towards the middle of the season once he settled into the slot. He had no business playing outside and Saints found a way to use him at a position where he shines. In previous years they would have just left him out there to play. The Apple was a good move.

Yeah PJ was excellent down the stretch. I guess you go with the hot hand and PJ has great momentum right now. Don’t mess with the chemistry they built in the secondary.

I saw a rumor somewhere that the Saints are shopping CB’s thanks to our depth there and PRob is a name to watch.

I can see moving a CB for a draft pick. I can also see moving an OLineman, too.

Do not ignore the fact that each unit is looking at specific aspects of the fringe players. In these preseason games they are not usually "scheming" against their opponent. They are looking for certain thing from certain players on offense, defense and special teams. What each side is looking at isn't necessarily the best best regular season counter-move to what the other team is testing.

I'm not coming up with this in a vacuum. I have heard MANY NFL head coaches say this when addressing the preseason games. It has even become more prevalent with the CBA mandated reduction of contact practices in training camp.

Just piggy-backing upon your post, JP, not disagreeing with you at all. If anyone has a problem with my pointing out that unit related performances that we see as fans in the preseason are pretty much meaningless, then give me a logical, well reasoned explanation of why I am wrong.

Well?
