I don't believe a word that comes out of Payton's mouth about his team. He keeps everything close to the vest or he flat out misleads the public(opponents). My guess is that he is worried about the snaps going wrong.....very worried.

McCoy had one bad snap in the shotgun when they practiced the silent snap count for the first time. That's it. I'll guarantee you Unger had bad snaps in training camp.

Unless Erik falls off a cliff over the next two weeks, he'll be starting under center vs the Texans week #1.

He's been above average all rookie/training camp and most of pre season.
