Last year at this point Payton was very vocal about how disappointed he was with the WR corps. Doesn’t look like we have the same problem this year.

Good hands however just hasn't shown the ability to separate at practice.

I'm not all that convinced Carr will make this 2019 Saints team.

Where's the hard hitting in depth journalism we've come to expect?

"Carr hoping wheels don't come off this year" "Carr getting detailed with playbook" "No worrying the Check Engine light will come on for Carr"

That's what I'm talkin' bout!! Real Clark Kent type reporting!!!

Me either, and that is great for us. We cut ties with Meredith, told Matthews we don't need his baggage, and didn't call Dez back. Tells me that our core (or corps) will be a lot stronger. If Carr, the #4 from last year is worried, that's a good thing

Carr is the player on the fence in my opinion. He has a lot of competition that might be able to get some separation from defenders.

If Austin Carr is the guy on the fence, I'd say we have a good group of receivers.

Saw a tweet (Katherine Terrell) today @ joint practice that Mr. Carr dropped 2 punts today.

This doesn't help his case for a spot on special teams either.

Not good. His days are definitely numbered. I never understood the hype about him.

He'll get picked up by the Patriots and be the next Edleman. All part of the Belichick / Payton secret handshake, wink, wink brotherhood!

Pats already tried that experiment. Cut him in 2017 and the Saints snagged him up and here we are.

Jimmy G threw 5 picks in a row for the 49ers. When did the Saints let him go? EGGSPURTS!!!

I thought he could be another Moore but that ship has sailed. He's not that guy. The competition is too fierce. He would have to beat out Ginn and Cyril for sure. Not gonna happen. Should have cut him already. Probably Sat.

I know the Patriots cut Carr in 2017 but from "The Patriot Wire"

One player, in particular, should interest the Patriots. That’s New Orleans Saints slot receiver Austin Carr, who led the Patriots in receptions and receiving yards in the 2017 preseason.
