They were my biggest fear in 2009. Everyone has forgotten that team cause the Chargers did what they do best, disappoint in the playoffs. A 13-3 campaign completely washed away by a 9-7 Jets team. But on paper, they would've most likely beaten Indy (The Colts had a history at that point of the Chargers owning them) and they were the worst match up in the AFC for us that year. They also would've been a terrible match up for the Vikings.

I was confident facing Indy in the SB cause their defense had issues all year long with screens and we matched up perfectly with them. San Diego would've likely given us issues.

I don't get all the hype around the Chargers. They were one failed 2 point conversion vs K.C. and needing that miracle comeback against Pittsburgh to even make the playoffs last year. They looked like an average team against New England and ironically, many people were picking them to upset the Pats. This year, they've done nothing to really improve in the off season to be heavy favorites and Rivers will be a year older.
