Don't play a soft zone against Brees under a minute. He's going to win that battle 99% of the time. Sounds like he might have been given different instructions and disregarded them but who knows..

Colvin was picked on repeatedly by Payton, Carmichael and Brees all night.

In saying all of that, I'd take Colvin over Ken Crawley any day.

There has to be more to the story. That had to feel they made a mistake on some level before that game. My guess is the money and talent doesn't add up. The 'prevent' type/style defense has never worked.

Dennis Allen has put the Saints defense in bad spots time and time again.

No play call should ever expose #26 to having to run down the field 45+ yards singled on a wide out with jets.

In all fairness, even if Ginn didnt make the catch, I'm convinced Lutz Field Goal would have been good from 65-70 yards.
