I have a feeling Gurley is done. It’s a shame at his age.

On paper, this is the toughest game on the schedule. I think this game means more to the Rams than it does us. If we beat them, some thing creeps into their psyche that they've tried to keep locked out all off-season... doubt. Doubt that they are better than us, doubt that they should have been in the Super Bowl last year. We go into their stadium and outplay them, it will have devastating impact on them mentally. I think we play this game with no pressure, and as a result expect us to fire on all cylinders.

I agree. They are out to prove they deserved to be there. Beating the **** out of them will serve as proof to what they knew all along. Very well could play a major factor in how the rest of their season goes. **** um and feed them fish heads.

That is why Payton wants a RB by committee. They basically rode the horse in the ground.

Why do you say that? Asking for a fantasy football friend.

He’s been battling injury since mid season last year and he didn’t have a ton of touches last week. The main reason though is I heard him in an interview a week or two before camp and he himself admitted he wasn’t 100%. He then went on to say he wouldn’t let football affect his quality of life and he would have no problem retiring early if it came down to it. I forgot the show but it was an NFL affiliate. I’m speculating but a lot of things point in that direction.

He's got arthritis in his knee (knees?). Fewer hits prolong the inevitable. He's not going to have a long career.

Hopefully he can play through it well enough to get paid.

He got paid. He got a 4 year extension worth $60mil, with $45mil guaranteed. It still sucks to see a stud brought down by injury though.
