A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
1. What most everyone already knows that the next QB to follow Brees is not in the building
2. Sean Payton is not that great a head coach 3. Dennis Allen is a complete joke 4. We made a huge mistake not signing Ingram |
Re: A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
I agree on all this except the part with Ingram. I think the jury is still out on Murray and maybe he'll perform better in the future. Today we were so predictable on offense, it was a disgrace. The Rams loaded the box and completely shut Kamara down. Ingram wouldn't have fared any better against that defense.
100% agree about Allen. Been saying it for years that his defenses get us killed in crucial games and the playoffs. |
Re: A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
You can’t stick that on defense. They held one of the best offenses in the league to 6 points. They had a devastating no call that negated a TD that the entire team could have rallied behind. They bailed there offense out as much as the could and the only person who could do anything to put points on the board was the kicker. A team like the Rams are GOING to score on you if you let them hang around too long. There was absolutely zero momentum or rhythm to the offense. Defenses feed into that.

5. Lattimore needs to look in the mirror and re evaluate his play last 2 weeks. Got beat by Cooks & Kupp. ** I got roasted (in the Rezburna post) by a few with the thought of trading for Minkah Fitpatrick. Our secondary play is a problem. 6. Larry Warford got beat like a Pearl snare drum as well. 7. Every Saints offensive lineman had a penalty. 8. Jared Cook targeted 7 times on 2 receptions for 25 yards + a penalty. ... you get the point. There is enough blame to go around. Team loss. Brees is out & seeing a world renowned hand specialist today. Expect the worst & hope for the best. Time to re group, focus, and prepare for Seattle & execute on Sunday. |
Re: A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
Whoever is under center is going to struggle behind the O-line unless they get back in sync this week. It's funny how one week we're talking about how good our O-line is and just a couple of weeks later our QB is out and the line looks like a swinging set of bat doors or a revolving door. Either way it ain't pretty.

There was that one offensive series yesterday where it was just penalty after penalty after penalty, it was like the Saints and Teddy couldn't even break the huddle and execute a play. It was embarrassing. I was screaming at the TV, they should have just punted the ball on 3rd down and given up! The Rams were actually declining yardage penalties, because the distance to the first down was so long that nobody even cared anymore. |
Re: A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
Peat finally got Brees injured. He's been close for years

Re: A few things will be exposed while Brees is out
We need to trade for Fitzpatrick. Marshon isn't the "CB" we hoped he'd be. Eli needs to be gone and Marshon need to moved to the second CB. DA playcalling has always been questionable, but this is even going to MAKE or BREAK the Saints. This week against Seattle will tell ALOT. I say give Dez a call or bring one of the young WRs up. The constant lack of a number 2 WR is killing this team. I would like to see Cyril back we need a spark there. Ginn is too inconsistent almost like he pick and chooses when to play. We have to get TWO new guards Peat and Warford have to be better especially PEAT

The sky is falling... Oh no...
Lets just see how the season goes lol |

2. Sean Payton is not that great a head coach
Early on in Coach Payton's career he was smart enough to bring Drew Brees to New Orleans. Saint's have been a competitive team year after year under his watch. Not sure you could find a HC with more integrity, competitiveness and consistency. |
