Saints punter Thomas Morstead randomly tested for PED's
 
Less than 24 hours after this impressive day in the office, Morstead received notice that the NFL would be randomly testing him for performance-enhancing drugs.

Every player get randomly tested several times each year. Morstead just like sharing it.

Not really. During the season these random requests come immediately after a game. He'll probably get tested several more times this season, as does every player. The chances that he has an outstanding game immediately prior is pretty high since he routinely has stellar games. He seems to enjoy sharing the notifications when they coincide with those good games or such. If he had one punt for a net 25 yards he would have still gotten the notification but wouldn't have shared the fact.

YEP. PEDs really help you to drop punts inside the 5 yard line.

You are the voice of reason again. However, we conspiracy theorists would appreciate it if you would stop confusing us with facts. :doh:

Drew was also tested after his record performance and he also pointed out that it was "random". I have no doubt that there were phone calls made.

For punters not named Morstead they actually do...

Friend of mine who's Dad was a former original Saint, says the guy (Morstead) works out like a beast...

Always laugh when he's told me that because he follows with ...punters never worked out like that when we were growing up...

And I always reply, ...punters didn't get paid like him when we were growing up either...

Know he mishandled some snap exchanges yesterday, but those punts were killer in the field position game early on in the game...

6 punts with an average 55 yards. 4 of those were placed inside the 20.

He's a weapon.

You've pointed that out multiple times already, JP. You'd think it cost us "two firsts and a fifth". It was windy and raining. Handling snaps for kick placement is difficult enough when the ball is dry. I'll guarantee you that you are more concerned than any of the coaches.
