Week 4 B&G Game Ball Award

A lot of units and individuals showed up to play against Dallas, this week my vote for the B&G Game Ball award goes to our Defensive unit and Dennis Allen.

Who would you give it to?

If I had to give it to one person it would be Vonn Bell.

Davenport. It looks like he has figured it out now and can be a good player opposite Cam.

Agreed! And he is a MAN, so physical.

Davenport on D and Ramz on the O line. He's performed like a 1st rounder from Day 1. Didn't hear that clown Demarcus Lawrence name called not once last night.

Homer glasses off .. Ryan is an ELITE RT in his young career. Nice dude off the field, but when his cleats hits that field, play time is over.

Re: Week 4 B&G Game Ball Award

Offense: Michael Thomas - 9 Rec for 90 ReYds, and likely would've scored from the one yd line with 0:04 left, but Payton parks his best threat - on the bench?!?

Defense: Vonn Bell - 7/3 Tack/Assists, 1 FF; he blew the coverage exchange on Witten, yielding an Elliot TD, but he was solid; Honorable Mention: A.J. Klein with a FF; Onyemata with the only sack...

Kicking: Wil Lutz - Really sucks when you look back on the Brees era at how many games we lost because we didn't have a kicker of his half his caliber, makes the appreciation for his clutchness that much better...

Honorable mention to Ely Apple, his name was not cursed once in the entire game day thread.

Dennis Allen - Entire defense played great.

You know, valid point, but I'm on the fence on this one; I'm gonna withhold a grade and see this performance a few more times because we were facing Jason Garrett...

IMO this game last night on a National stage showed that the New Orleans Saints are much better than just Brees. I love Brees, great QB and 1st ballot HOF but this win showed me that this franchise's future is BRIGHT.

12th man --- > crowd noise. Way to stand up and support your team. Dak couldn't hear & was rattled at times.

Entire defensive unit. Once I started seeing them turn to each other and do those soul handshakes, chest bumps, patty cake routines early in the game, getting a few stops early on, I knew it was gonna be a good night. Sheldon didn't get to shimmy, but that will come with time.

They also played not just to the whistle but to the very end of the whistle. A lot of those strips and fumble recoveries and big plays were caused by sheer willpower and hustle on the part of the Saints defense.

Honestly, the successor to Brees isn't on the roster right now.

He was called for it but it wasn't holding. Even the booth ref said it shouldn't have been called.

Payton is the QB whisperer. He's got his eye on some young gun I'm sure.
