Re: NFL Scouts are Overpaid and most are hired on Nepotism
In his rookie season, he's appeared in four (4) games with 3 GS; he's thrown for 905 PaYds, completing 69.4% of his passes, with seven (7) PaTd and one (1) Int for a QBRat of 106.9; he has 82 RuYds on 12 RuAtt...
Only downside, he's had four (4) Fum this season... Not bad for a rookie back up QB... |

You can remove the NFL part, baseball is no different. Its scouting as a whole (Cub/Boy excluded)

Minshew was pretty meh in college though. That is why he didn't get drafted high up.
I think this proves a point that what Chase Stewart over at FootballPerspective blogs has been saying for years - there are more talented players in the NFL than we know about, hidden away on rosters. Shaquil Barrett is becoming a monster to be feared in Tampa Bay. He was a third stringer on the roster at Denver before his release. |

That may be true overall. However, I really like our college scouting department.
