Brees will get to 545 TDs by seasons end
 

I've got him coming back for the Arizona game in 3 weeks.

That's 9 more games. I project 23 TDs. We will be so pumped for the Arizona game that he'll throw 4 TDs. Then come back after the bye and repeat that performance vs Atlanta.

That's 25 for the season, ending up at 545.

Brady is currently 2 ahead with what looks like 2 more games to go while Brees is out. So hopefully he's only no more than 5 TDs ahead.

Brady is on pace for 28 TDs, putting him at 545.

With the way Pats D is playing, Brady doesn't need to do much. I suspect tomorrow they will unleash Sony and White and go on cruise control with Burkhead out. Why even throw the ball that much. Willing to be there will be no less that 4 picks and a couple of QB fumbles. Might even pull Brady when it gets out of hand.

So far, they look like the 2015 Broncos defense. That was a scary unit and the last historically great one. They were dominant enough to carry what was essentially the corpse of Peyton Manning to the SB and won it even with their offense playing historically bad for a SB game.

The Pats defense was good last year and most people overlooked them and were picking them to lose. They saved their juice for the playoffs and stepped up. This year's Pats defense could be their best unit since 2004. Brady didn't have to do much but game-manage for their first three SB wins.

Pump the brakes is a huge understatement.

We won't know until they give up 45 points to the Chiefs and then be reminded it's all been a ruse.
