He is my biggest disappointment this year. Cook just can't catch the dang ball!

I’m willing to bet Jared Cook has more drops so far this season than Michael Thomas has in his career.

Of course, most of TB's passes are high and he doesn't have much touch. He may do better when Drew comes back.

Three and out, that’s what I’m taliking about!

Harris tries to run before he catches the ball. He’s gotta clean that up.

If he doesn't, he'll have a seat.

As electric as he has been, you must have ball security on a Sean Payton's team.

Was that deep enough with enough touch for everybody? That’s what I saw when he was in college. He has a beautiful deep ball.

Horrible throw, effort...

Idk why Cook is the guy we’re throwing those too. Throw that **** to Thomas.

ChrisXVI 10-06-2019 12:29 PM

Re: Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Day Thread

It’s not like Cook would’ve caught it anyway lol.

Rugby Saint II 10-06-2019 12:30 PM

Re: Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Day Thread

Why did Cook do a 360 degree spin before trying to catch the ball? If he had kept running he may have been able to catch it?

Re: Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Day Thread

They shouldn’t have taken Teddy out on 2nd down.

Gotta get him more involved in this offense.

Bowles is going to try and take MT out of this game.

Sean draws a game plan around the worst hands on team...gonna be a long day if that’s the case

Injury or no injury ...

Harris is about to have a seat. Ball security has been spotty.

Can't have that.

Harris looks to be a high risk high reward kind of guy back there

Don’t do this to us Harris. Don’t start sucking.

Definitely a fumble.

It's clearly Tampa's ball. These things can be turning points.

I honestly think Tampa have been shafted. If that happened to us, we would be furious.

Kamara / Ginn will be your your new punt return guys ....

Possibly Carr. Fumbles aren't an options.

We can't turn over the dang ball and expect to win.

That’s why you catch with your hands.

You've been saying this for three weeks now. It seems to be based on the fact that because the air yards are short, the plays are ineffective. consider these 4 plays:

1. Kamara's 29 yard TD in the Seattle game.
2. TQS 28 yard play in LA he was injured on
3. Kamara's 18 yard play from the Saints 7 for the first down against Seattle.
4. CGM's TD against Seattle.

Each of these 4 plays contribute to the short air yardage numbers. But each was highly effective.

Now it may be a valid question as to what happens when plays around the LOS are no longer effective and the Saints start to lose games because of it. But it hasn't happened yet, so it really seems like a mountain/molehill type problem in my estimation.

SFIAH

It's been said a lot but not by me lol... I just saw a stat on TV and posted a picture of it, but since you want to have this discussion with me lets do that.

1. Your examples are what are called distinction without a difference. None of those examples speak to the effectiveness of TB checking down. Only how good Kamara, Smith, and Thomas are.

2. YAC have nothing at all to do with TB checking down and YAC are always harder on a team than YIA because of the physicality to earn those yards. Check downs also make it very difficult to move down field on a short clock and get a TD.. Hence all of our FGs...

3. Right now we are 3-1 because of a Special Teams and Defense which you seem to be content with. That will not get you far into the playoffs. Teddy has thrown 2 TDs in three games...

In trying to rationalize TB's check downs you are just making a case that we do not need TB, we can win with any QB that can throw 5 yards.. Put Taysom in.

I've been saying that I want him to play with confidence...

After that play in 3 games TB has 2 TDs and 2 INTs... :bng:

Costly turnover.

Rugby Saint II 10-06-2019 12:45 PM

Re: Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Day Thread

Well, I was hoping for a different start today. Defense needs to give us the ball a couple of times.

Re: Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Day Thread

TB has not lead to one Saints TD. He has however lead to the Bucs scoring one.
