Gardner Minshew not complaining about missing a game vs. Drew Brees
It’s always refreshing to see an NFL player be honest, remaining self-aware and acknowledging where things stand. That’s the case for rookie Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, thrust into action after Nick Foles went down with an injury. He’s as respectful as anyone could be of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, but he won’t be caught complaining about competing against Brees’ backup rather than the Hall of Famer himself.

The only thing Saints fans care about is the win on Sunday.

He's not a backup. A backup is on the bench. He's the starter and a PB QB. You would think beating two contenders would be enough but apparently people are still doubting him for some damn reason.

Our back up vs their back up. Edge: Saints!

Re: Gardner Minshew not complaining about missing a game vs. Drew Brees
Minshew has the skills, drive and toughness to be a starting QB in the NFL. His success so far is not a fluke. This is not a bye week for the Saints.

Yeah he won a SB... so did Trent Dilfer, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning and Mark Rypien. |

Taysom Hill is the Saints backup this Sunday. Teddy may not be the starter everyone wants but he is the starting QB for the Saints.
