Upon Brees return.

Payton has seemed to reverted back to his trickery and wild play calls like he was doing in O9. I feel like this scenario with Brees has forced him into being aggressive with playcalling once again. With all three Qb’s healthy during the playoffs I think we are going to see some absolute insane formations using all three .
He knows Teddy can cut it and knows what he has in Hill.
Defenses won’t have a clue. I’m really excited to see some crazy **** dialed up.
He will save it for the playoffs but we are in for some exciting ball. I could see them line up with all three on the field. Tried the Bridgewater 2 last year with Teddy lined up wide Hill in the backfield and Brees under center.
Opposing team had to burn a time out. I expect more of this down the road.

Cherish these memories.

This is definitely not your dad or your grandpa's Saints as we were told growing up how bad they were. Enjoy these wins and this long run with Brees and Payton.

I agree with you that he's pulling the trick bag and playing aggressively. This is the old Payton that used to thrill me. I just feel we need to take a moment and be thankful to live in this period and experience it.

Payton likes to try schoolyard stuff early on. It collects dust until the playoffs. He has done this a few time that I recall. That Kamara pass from last week. I doubt we see that again. It's getting late in the season though. It's normally PS or within the first 5 games then it goes away.

The possibilities with Taysom are endless. Like last week when we saw Kamara take the direct snap and Taysom serve as a lead blocker.

I'd like to see more pistol sets ... it works great for the running game and short passing and you have that perfect depth for the QB to protect him from edge rushers. My bold prediction - in about 5-10 years the shotgun will be much-less used and pistol will be the go-to at all levels.

Payton does get outside of the box... Can't wait to see Jordan's Super Bowl TD dance.

Those who do not remember the past, are condemned to repeat it. I don't want to repeat it. I'm loving this year.

He needs to let Taysom have a series.

Sean Payton isn't going to do that boss. Sure he'll line up in read option formations and throw an occasional bomb on 2nd down or 3rd and goal line situations but that's about it.

Teddy B is THE guy at QB until Brees returns.

I heard Payton say that as soon as he realized that Taysom was 'the backup QB' it changed the way he used him and was being used in our offense.
