this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Pretty sad state of affairs eh Pak? I can understand tho. Saints fans have been conditioned to expect to be let down. Life-long Saints fans know this better than anyone. Hell I admit it...I could prob count on 1 hand ...

Just the kind of guy we need?
Pretty sad state of affairs eh Pak? I can understand tho. Saints fans have been conditioned to expect to be let down. Life-long Saints fans know this better than anyone. Hell I admit it...I could prob count on 1 hand the number of times I KNEW we were coming back to win a game, etc, etc, etc. Oh I hoped A LOT. But my gut told me it just wasn\'t gonna happen...and most times it didn\'t. I go into every year hoping for the best but realisticly expecting to be watching the playoffs without my Saints or, at THE MOST the Saints getting into the playoffs and winning MAYBE 1 game. So it goes with this season. I fully expect my team to make a decent showing (even I said they\'d go 12-4 or 11-5). Make the playoffs. And not win the Super bowl. Sad of me to say that? Maybe, but being a life-long Saints fan that\'s how I think. Truth is, I\'d bet most Saints fan are pretty much the same way. They may yap it up at the office with friends and down the halls like I do about how the Saints are gonna do some serious a$$-whipping this week or that week, but deep inside the same thoughts of being let down haunt them.

Dean Vernon Wormer: Mr. Hoover, president of Delta house? One point six; four C's and an F. A fine example you set! Daniel Simpson Day... HAS no grade point average. All courses incomplete. Mr. Blu - MR. BLUTARSKY... ZERO POINT ZERO.
John 'Bluto' Blutarsky: Christ. Seven years of college down the drain. Might as well join the f@$%ing Peace Corps. |
