Saints coach Sean Payton said after Sunday's win against Jacksonville that running back Alvin Kamara had a swollen ankle going into the game, and he also tweaked his knee during the first quarter.

Nobody can fill Kamaras shoes. Too bad we cut Ozigbo. I feel like Kamara could wind up missing a bit of playing time.

Murray seems like he's getting better every week. Just hand him the ball more and use Washington. He's shown he can handle some duties.

Payton is weighing familiarization over talent so I get it.

Still not giving him a pass on cutting Ozigbo. That was a dumb move. The dumber move however is the Jags letting him collect dust. For what? He's 4th on their depth chart. Makes no sense. Bet he gets cut when Blue returns.

As pointed out a couple of times, Cadet is familiar with our offense. He has been in the league 10 years and had a total of 60 carries so I am guessing he has pretty fresh legs. He also hasnt fumbled in his last 38 carries/4 years but I am not sure how to read that... lol

I suspect as we get closer to Brees's return we should see more of Hill running and with Kamara dinged this week might be a Hill showcase week.

IIRC the Saints brought in Zach Zenner for a "work out" several months back. Did he get picked up?

... well at least we still have Murray and Washington.

The trade deadline is approaching. Maybe a Kenyan Drake or go pay the Jags ransom for Ozigbo if they entertain it.

Both are solid pass catchers. I can't think of any other scenarios that would be better than those two right now but sure there are some.

I don't get the excitement over Ozigbo. He has done absolutely nothing in the NFL. Has never even been active. He wasn't able to make the 53 man roster cut for the Saints.

True, but he is familiar with the playbook and schemes. Blue will be back week 9 so he may get cut? I know he didn't make the roster for us but it was close. Wasn't he on the practice squad? Can't recall.

I had a nightmare last night about a parallel universe where our offensive stars were Teddy Bridgewater, Travaris Cadet, and Dez Bryant. Then thankfully I woke up.

He was released when the final cuts were made. They probably hoped he cleared waivers (like Humphrey and Butler) to be added to the practice squad, but J'Ville claimed him meaning they had to add him to their active roster. They would have to release him and hope he clears waivers to move him down to their practice squad. Right now he's just taking up a space on their 53. If he was really worth it right now he would have been activated. Perhaps he just isn't picking things up as well as they hoped. Possibly what happened as a Saints, as well.
