Demario Davis is a class act
During the Jacksonville game Davis put a helmet to helmet hit on Jacksonville TE Geoff Swaim. The contact was incidental and unintended but Swaim did not get up and lay motionless on the field. Davis immediately fell to his knees, put his hand on Swaim and started praying. He was the first player to take a knee, even before Swaims own teammates. Swaim was eventually able to walk off the field.
This move by Davis is class act. Instead of smiling like Roby or the Tampa player who was disqualified Davis first concern was the selfless wellbeing of an injured player. Davis is quickly becoming my favorite Saint. May be the best FA pickup we have gotten in a long time. Hats off to you Davis. Glad he is a Saint. In a league full of Twitter wars, divas, 100 million dollar contracts and players whining about their team this was a breath of fresh air. When Winston smushed Cams head into the ground and Cam got up and crossed his arms as a sign he wasn’t going to retaliate just shows me the disciplined and positive the culture of our defensive unit has become. |
