Report: Saints re-sign rookie WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey to practice squad

The New Orleans Saints shuffled their depth chart at wide receiver over the weekend, promoting third-year pro Krishawn Hogan from the practice squad and waiving rookie Lil’Jordan Humphrey from the 53-man roster. Humphrey passed through waivers unclaimed, and reportedly re-signed with the Saints practice, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. Hogan played 10 snaps on offense and four on special teams in New Orleans’ 31-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

He may not progress in the NFL, but he passed the eye test at Texas and in the preseason.

Add seasoning and you've got a good player for the system. He's not fast but he's a good possession receiver.

I like his toughness and determination. Will develop into a good option.

I would like to see Harris more involved.

Me too.
Harris has done more in 8 games than our former #11(TLL) did in 2 years for the Saints. I still believe that if it had been AK or MT, PI would have been called against Rams. Sorry, still not over it yet.

Emmanuel Butler has proven to be a reincarnation of Adrian Arrington - preseason superstar and invisible come regular season.

I wouldn't pencil out EButler just yet brother, especially considering he's been injured in pre season. It took Lance Moore almost 2 seasons before he got it together from the practice squad. You have to temper expectations with undrafted players. Adam Thielan's of the world are rare breeds.

I'm inclined to be more critical of higher drafted players such as Andrus Peat and Tre'quan Smith.

As for Southlake (Jordan), give him more time too. Most of us knew he needed polish. He's got the right attitude, wants to become better and has pedigree.

Agree. And we have hit on more UDFA than we missed. We used to get running backs like they were falling off trees. I didn’t like the Peat pick then and don’t like it now although he’s picked it up a bit. Haven’t given up on Smith. He looked like something was about to click before he got injured.
