What would be a successful 2005 season?

..so, looking ahead, what would you consider a successful 2005 season? For me, a successful season would be playoffs and: If wild card, wildcard game win and at least a show of force in the divisional game. No blowout a la Minnesota. The wildcard game isn't exactly a game between 2 powerhouses. So winning the wildcard game and then getting the carp kicked out in the divisional game will not be a successful season in my book, much less a loss in the wildcard game. If division title, reach the NFC game. If they have to play the wildcard game, and they lose it, that'd be very bad. If they don't have to play the wild card game, that would mean they are playing the divisional game at home. If they lose, that'd be very bad too. Some people may think these are lofty goals, but if the NFC doesn't improve much from last year, and an 8-8 record gets you in the playoffs, not getting past the wildcard game is just bad... ..of course, not reaching the playoffs would be even worst... |
