PJ, despite some road bumps, really stepped up vs some elite WRs today...

The relentless pass rush also helped as well. We’ll need it

Thank god. He is always good for blowing a large portion of the season and then winning so they dont get a high pick lmao

Yep, the lack of one last week really hurt.

I hope Atlanta doesn't have their hopes up for the post season. I smell a 7-9 ending for them.

So the big news this week will be the absence of Marcus Davenport?!?

Apple was outstanding today. #22 was quite a good pick. I see great things coming from this guy.

Very disappointing. He was benched for Hendrickson and Mario Edwards.

He really has slow get off. Other players on d-line look much more explosive.

I didn’t see Murray in the last 4 minutes or so. Looked like they were using Kamara granted I was busy the last couple minutes and couldn’t see every play. Did he come back in at the end?
Did y’all see all the cheap shots the Bucs were taking on AK in the first quarter? He put a stop to it but they were playing pretty assholish . Bucs are slowly becoming my most hated division rival.

Not yet. The magic number is now 4. The Saints can knock a couple more off that next week with a win. With 4 more wins the Saints gets to 12, which the Kitties can no longer reach with 5 losses. With a Saints win next week, the Kitties can't do better than 10-6 and the Saints would then only need 2 wins to get to 11.

Technically since the Clowns and the Yucks have only 7 losses in the loss column until the Saints get to 9 wins for the Yucks, and 10 for the Clowns, those two are still in it for the division.

But with a win next Sunday, the Saints could possibly clinch the Sunday after that after the hopefully inevitable beatdown of the Clowns on Thanksgiving.

Honestly though, the real competition is still the collection of the 9ers, Pack, Vikes, and Hawks in the NFC. Each has 8 wins at the moment. So the NFC is wide open. But we already have a win on the Hawks, still play the 9ers, and each of them still play one another down the stretch. So it's going to be a roller coaster.

A few observations...

Nick Easton had no problem moving around Vita Vea and Suh. Very impressed. Will Clapp is better suited for the sixth man role. He doesn’t have the strength or technique to be a starter.

WR Krishawn Hogan is already being relied on as our run blocking WR in jumbo sets. If he can work his way into the passing game we might have something there.

Which leads to Tre’Quan Smith... What’s going on there?

This offense must be a bit too complex for him to grasp on the fly. I saw him lined up in the wrong formation and almost cost us to use a precious timeout.

He's no rookie and Brees having to explain things to him on the sideline is not a good sign. At this point, I'm hoping to have Keith Kirkwood back next week to see if he can provide a spark and take some heat off #13.

Speaking of Kirkwood, I thought he was finally healthy? Didnt see him on the inactive list.

The Saints have 2 weeks (if I remember correctly) to carefully evaluate him before making a decision on a roster spot.

Kirkwood was present at practice on last Wednesday, so essentially he could play next week vs the Panthers.

You know what is becoming extremely frustrating...that the whole world knows we need a#2 and SP is being stubborn. Frustrating.
