He has this infatuation with one of the BnG's regulars. He tends to make threads just for this whereas he could have kept this in "This sums it all up..." thread or a private pm. Got to give it to him though... at least he's consistent.

Nah ah... not WhoDat. Let's play the guessing game and I'll let you know when you are right?!

72.4% of all statistics are made up on the spot to try and prove a point.

Is it saintswhodi ???

saintswhodi 07-31-2005 09:13 PM

See, now I have to wonder if this is Gumbo. Instead of responding in the thread where he got faced, he usually made another thread that was so off the wall it got people talking. And it's working again. Who the hell picks two games out of 16 where we did score in the first quarter to prove a point? Someone who has absolutely no point to prove that's who. What a joke. Since he prob won't come back to this thread, I will ask anyone to prove a point for me. Go look at the gamebook for the Seattle game, first game of the year, and tell me what more the defense could have done to get us a win. Oh look, I picked 1 game out of 16 to disprove a whole season. That should fly.

papz 07-31-2005 09:18 PM

LOL you got it 08!!!

I told you sw... aren't they so similiar? I didn't want to rape the thread... so I just waited til ya showed up.

saintswhodi 07-31-2005 09:23 PM

I am seriously starting to believe there is no way this is a real person. I think someone wants to say this outlandish sh*t, and made an alternate screen name to do so. There is no way someone actually believes what comes out this guy's mouth. It's stinking in here from all the BS he shoots from his pie hole.

Um, Mora's defenses played with the best LB unit in NFL history. You see anything like that here? See, this is why people shouldn't take you seriously. If you don't recognize the difference between a defense with the best over LB unit of all time, and what we have now, why should we listen to you? And remember Frank Warren? Wayne Martin? Ring a bell? Dave Waymer? Brett Maxie? Sound familiar? I doubt we will ever see a defense like that again. Christ, you don't ask for much do you? One of the best defenses in NFL history is your example, instead of looking at CURRENT teams with similar crappy defenses but making the playoffs cause of their offenses. I seriously have no more words for you. Call me out, do what you wish. I refuse to believe you are a serious poster, and therefore will no longer respond to you. This is ridiculous.

saintswhodi 07-31-2005 09:59 PM

Colts, Vikings, Rams.

I broke my own rule. But I thought I should repeat myself so I could start over again.

WhoDat 07-31-2005 10:26 PM

Or for more teams in the last few years - Kansas City, Seattle... Oakland's defense was average at best. The Packers D has been steadily declining.

I'm not sure what the argument is here. Who is more to blame? They both are. You don't win many games spotting the opposing team 10 points in the first 20 minutes of every game. Then again, you don't win much when your defense allows the opponent to run at will either. What the hell are you guys arguing about anyway?

Well, the D could have held Hasselbeck to less than a 66% completion rate. They could have held Alexander to less than 135 yards rushing and a 4.8 yard average or not let his backup get 25 yards on 7 carries for a 3.8 yard average. They could have stopped D. Jackson from catching 7 passes for 98 yards. They could have not let the Seattle Offense go on a 76 yard drive to score a TD in the first QTR.

Still, I'm not saying the Offense didn't suck cuz 7 points in a game played at home is rediculous. But the D had plenty of room for improvement after this game.

Came back again to set you straight, ok stat meister. Colts defense ranked overall at 29th...Vikings 28th overall, St.Louis at 17th overall.

08, You don't play well with others.

Man! I Love this board!
All Hell is gonna break loose when the Saints go 12-4 this year.
It will be: "I predicted this" and "I predicted that" and "This is why the Saints are 12-4 and we have home field advantage through the playoffs". "Offense". "Defense". "AB". "A-Mac".
"I told you the jury was still out on Sully and he made the Pro Bowl, damn it Whodi, you called him a "steaming pile of Poo!".
Who knows?
It will be fun and discordant for sure.
Let the games begin!
Wait!
Did I just predict the Saints will go 12-4 this year?
Don't hold me to that unless they do go 12-4.
In which case I will laugh at all of y'all cause I was right!
Know why?
I can pull selected lines from this post up later to "prove" I was right.
Just like Billy Carpenter!

p.s. I would love to dine on crow if AB leads us to the NFC title game

the D also had three turnovers, IN THE FIRST HALF. The D also held Seattle to 14 points, until Brooks' gift turnover that gave them the ball in their own redzone. I wonder how many offenses would have had more than 7 points with three turnovers created for the first half for them. A couple giving them the ball at the 50 or better. I agree with WhoDat though, both sides are equally responsible for last year. MiniMe can scream all he wants trying to make it seem different, as I have stated, I refuse to believe anymore that this is a real person who thinks this way.

There seems to be someone arguing against the fact that our defense was bad last year and this thread is to prove them wrong :D

It seems that our defense was, in fact, not very good.
Definitely an interesting take....I need to look at some numbers and see where I stand.

I haven't seen anyone attempt to argue that fact at all. Care to expound? :D

BoudinSandwich 08-02-2005 03:52 PM

I see. Well, its a team game. Our defense was bad, but our offense was pretty horrible, too. They may have put up some good stats, but how many of those stats were made at the end of the game when the Saints had already lost and the other team's defense was taking it easy on us? I want to see the stat that says how many offensive 3 and outs we had compared to others that year.

But, yes, our defense was horrible. They were especially bad at the beginning of the season.

yasoon 08-02-2005 03:55 PM

Maybe, to be fair, it's more along the lines of why the team sucked for 12 games O or D? I think it was a group effort.

I also think that not getting a 1st down on your 1st drive for ten games in the NFL is very close to impossible, but the Saints pulled it off. You can't blame the O directly for the play of the D, (There have certainly been defenses good enough to bail out bad offenses.) but when your D is mediocre to bad going into the season, it can't help to have them on the field all game. (Or much less the entire 1st Qtr.) OK...now I'm talking to myself again :)

WhoDat 08-03-2005 08:28 AM

I think it's Whodi's fault. LOL :)
