I live in Canada and there has only been 1 Saint game this year that wasn't carried up here. A few years ago, we only got the Saints on the Thurs and Mon night games.

Man! I wish I had taken video of us, when Lutz
kicked that winning Field Goal yesterday. Of all the places we've gathered, this one's becoming the BEST. Yesterday's gathering, like the last one, and the one before that, went from a Football game/WhoDat cheer/Second Line to a ridiculous dance party, that continued an hour after the game.

Its not as big a group as Woodrow's was, or even that nasty place on 20th. Ragin Cajun's guy was very interested in us, (one of our old locations, which I liked very much) but he had some other obstacles. 2 other places, not centrally located- one really sweet place was in Sugarland, (makes sense) but the guy wasn't grasping the vision.

Cecil's is giving us the treatment we deserve, and the guy does grasp the vision-- and we're both throwing in extras every game, to make it more fun.
And the crowd is becoming a complete BLAST! Its much more New Orleans, eclectic, maybe just plain weird, but this is definitely home. I would compare Cecil's vs old place to blackandgold.com vs. (Site-X) Cliques and people who you werent supposed to speak to, vs. new place, where everybody knows your name, and if they dont, you talk to them anyway, and you eat food, and drink, and dance and yell, Its become Cheers, with a Saints party. Much more New Orleans'ish.

You should have seen us yesterday.

I didnt plan or want to be the DJ, (although, if you remember, I did this what? 11 years ago at RC?) but its safe to say I'm not too bad at it.

I sure do miss HouYat & Mrs. K and Smashmouth & Mrs P and SuperDome & Mrs E. & Budsdrinker & Mrs. V (They still have a Houston house, I think, but they're in the Dome with season tix now) Lynwood & Beastmode will surely pop in.

If someone would make a blackandgold.com banner, I'd like to promote this site, and get our new friends on board. This is a good time to hop on the Train.
