How many times did I see McCaffery release out of the backfield and there is no one within 15 yards ... If have a spy on anybody on this team McCaffery is the one. Later in the game they did a better job but after way toooo many burns jobs.

Agreed however Christian did not get a 100 yards rushing on the Saints D. Only 2.9 ypc ...

He simply abused us in the passing game though.

Rookie has played well, even picking up the slack from RG Warford lately...

But many were content that this team does not need a #2, 3 or hell #4 WR.

There is Michael Thomas & a bunch of bodies running around at WR. Cook has shown up though at the TE position.

Meanwhile Grayson is still out there. He's probably hungrier too.

7. Josh Hill is a great blocker in the running game. He is the type of player that flies under the radar but is really important on a roster.
-- YES. and we have a number of guys like him, average fans dont know, who make a huge difference.

9. I'm so glad our kicker is Wil Lutz and not Joey Slye.
-- Best K we've had since Morten.

A good football business argument could be made to have cut Ginn, kept Cyril Grayson...

Even if he ran the correct routes and still dropped the ball he'd be an improvement over what Ginn is giving in terms of effort, results...

And Grayson really is faster than everyone else and can back it up and would likely show up for a challenge unlike Ginn...

He's good to miss about 6 games a season so I guess it's right on par...great talent when healthy. I am surprised by how well Easton has been playing considering he wasnt even active at the beginning of the season.

We cant afford to lose anyone else on the line.

And also contribute on special teams with returns. We wouldn't have Kamara back there if we had Grayson.

Speaking of WR's ...

How in the hell does Trequan Smith allow that corner to out jump him on that pbu? Wasn't that one of his strong points (high pointing the ball) coming out of UCF?

He's too tentatively for my taste. When the football is in the air, he needs to have the mentality that "it's mine". Go snag it man.

You either have dawg in you or not.

In my mind and having watched him in training camp .. CG knew the playbook & was lining up correctly pre snap + he's a damn burner with world class speed. C'mon coach, you can't use this guy in that offense?

I know he had a few "mishaps" on covering punts @ t/camp but certainly I would have liked to see him more involved with this offense.

Anyway .. "we're on to Atlanta" ;).

AS I MENTIONED IN AUGUST

Going back to 2009, teams have drafted 14 centers in the first two rounds. Thirteen of those 14 started at least 10 games during their rookie seasons. The only one who didn't was Rodney Hudson, who started just one game but played in all 16 as a rookie with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011. This includes Ryan Kelly of the Colts.
