Re: Not only New Orleans

Take the referees out from under the NFL umbrella and make them an independent referee society like they do in rugby. This will never happen though because it would make it more difficult to have games come out the way that Godhell wants.

Various media and sports organizations rate player performance each week. Does anyone do that for officials. If so, what happens to the grades. If not, someone needs to start and the grades need to be posted.

Unlimited challenges, until you lose two.
Yes, it'll make the game longer, but why should a team run out of challenges when they keep winning challenges that overturn bad calls.
Each team would get at least two:
Challenge twice and lose both, you're done. No more.
Win one, then lose two, you're done.
Win two, lose one, win five, lose one, you're done.
etc.

If you keep winning them, why should you not be able to keep going?
It'll make the game too long? Given the salaries of those involved and the cost to the fans, I'd say it's worth getting right.

College officiating is so much better. They actually review potential TD's no matter what. NFL needs to get their !@#$ together. Pats score a TD and then nope. Can't look at it. Insane.

The playoffs ... it's coming.

You start to blow out a team

time for "holding" on the next drive

"hands to the face" to extend a drive where you stop them on third down

"PI" for or against

rarely doesn't the league allow a game to be a blowout.

you are playing 11 on 18

No new rule

They will just allow the Patriots to get very favorable calls down the stretch

I think the NFL may be favoring Baltimore this year.

THey know there is MAJOR PATRIOTS FATIGUE from fans.
Baltimore/DC/AFC North is a strong market
plus their team is dynamic

it would be nice for the Patriots not to get a bye and Buffalo actually give them a run for it

AFCE has been such a stacked laughing stock

Roger doesn't like Bill Billicheck but he loves Robert Craft

think it has gotten so obvious he might have to have NE take a fall

The NFL is a MULTI-$Billion entity. There is absolutely no excuse for having sub-par officiating (unless your using "human error" to alter outcomes). There should be proficient officiating both on the field and from a remote viewing facility where state-of-art cameras & technology can & should be used to get the correct call.
Or, just keep hiring part-time 50+ aged officials that half the time see what they want to see, and flag what they want to flag with little or no consequences for getting it WRONG, so the "big market" teams continue to get favoritism to generate the most amount of commerce for the NFL trade association.

And when the wrong team ends up in the Super Bowl because of one of the worst calls in the history of the NFL, implement a review rule that the league 1) doesn't really implement or 2) uses to punish teams that are a nuisance.

Between kneel gate and the lingering Kap bulls*t, official blunders, etc. it makes me wonder how much longer the fans find something better to do with their time.

Agreed! If you want a rule changed in the NFL just have the refs make a bad call against the Patriots.....It will be fixed immediately!

The PAtriots had TWO.. A premature whistle took a TD away and a cone was hit and ruled out of bounds not a TD..
