The days when the Saints defense is stinking it up perhaps there ought to be a change in the offensive stragedy.

(like sunday - 6 seconds for Jimmy G to throw, secondary suckage and linebackers out)



the offense pulls a rabbit out of their hat and are set to walk in and score with a minute or less on the clock



perhaps the player - Tre'Quan in this case

should lay down at the 3 inch line

let them run off a few plays then have Murray or someone similar - score on 3rd down

miss - try 4th



better than losing in 53 seconds when your defense decides to take the day off



even Cam Jordan was completely neutralized

If a FG would win it, then I'm in agreement. But in this case we needed a TD, dont forget the 9ers had already stopped two 2 point conversion attempts from the 1 yard line.

We cant be scared to score just because our defense sucks, Dennis Allen has to grow some balls and figure out why, during his entire tenure, we have been unable to maintain a lead in the final minutes with his Defense on the field.

Nah. Even coach Payton said, Treyquan made a tremendous play to GET to the goal line, that spin move, and then the leap....you can't NOT take the score when it's wide open and there for the taking.

This was purely on the defense, and I am a huge fan of our defense.

Unfortunate that Jimmy was able to carve up our defense with under a minute left. I'm hopeful DA and those guys spent plenty of time in film study this week to work out the small "details".

On the bright side, better we have a poor defensive showing now on the back end vs the Playoffs where there is no tomorrow.

I get the theory on that idea but if for some reason, we didn't get across the line and get the score everyone would have been shouting why didn't the receiver take it in when he had the chance, you can't blame Tre'Quan for scoring, thats what he's there for! WHO DAT!

We needed seven points not three points. If he didn't take it in and we failed to score then the Who Dat nation and his coach would be all over him for losing the game. It looks like a lose/lose scenario. It's on DA not Smith. Smith did his job. DA didn't!
