I thought that we claim the number one spot if we win? Seattle and San Francisco are level but Seattle have the tiebreaker so they are number one. If we win, we have the same record as Seattle but have the tiebreaker over them so we will be number one seed. Have I got this wrong?

Losing Cooks last week was a even bigger deal.
According to the talking heads Jimmy G. goes from J. Montana to Ryan Leaf in a weeks time.

Minny lost 21-16 in week 2, so it's a revenge game too.

Saints win tmr and they have the tiebreaker on Seattle. GB has better conf record than Saints. Seattle has tie breaker on GB.

I don't think the ESPN playoff machine counts a win or loss for us yet.
We haven't won yet, we don't play until tomorrow night.

Would like to see how seeding changes if/after win tomorrow night on MNF.

I would bet against the Pack going into Minnesota next week.
Minnesota has developed into a more complete team.
The Packers were not impressive at home today. In fact, they almost lost that game on a crazy play and the bad luck Bears could have walked into the end zone, but sigh... da Bears.

Bears offense is still horrible. Packers barely limped out of that game.

My kids thought I lost my damn mind cheering for the Falcons. They pulled it out. I had to stare at my phone at the score the whole time because my area still wanted to show the Cowboys even though they was up by 50.

The thing that’s hurting us regarding playoff seeding is that our three losses come at the hands of NFC teams. Whereas the Seahawks and Packers both have two losses to the NFC and one to the AFC.

Not really. Because we need Seattle to beat them in 2 weeks. SF Losing today only helps our standings this week. We need The Hawks to win the NFC West.

Head to head when 2 teams, but with 3 way tie my understanding is conference record. It really isnt that important because if we win out I guarantee we will be the 1...but we have to win out

Keep in mind div winners come before everything. That’s why a sorry NFC East team will be locked in the 4 seed.
1. Div winners
2. Head to Head
3. Conference win%
and so forth all the way down to a coin flip.

If SEA and SF split head to head wins. Then win % within their div comes next.
We can’t afford for SF to win their div because we lost to them.
Our biggest challenge for the #1 seed is GB because we haven’t played them and they have a better conference win%.

SF vs SEA week #17 is gonna be huge

As far as I can tell... If we win out we’re pretty much guaranteed the 1 or 2 seed. We need the Vikings to beat the Packers next week for sure.

And on the flip side we made their #1 ranked defense look like the second worse defense in the league. I bet their defensive meeting was pretty hairy Monday.
I would love to have been a fly on the wall.
Plus they have to feel like pretty big pieces of **** after today’s loss.
This is the part of the season when Garoppolo and that young defenses inexperience starts to show.

I believe we will be above the Seahawks and there fore number 1 seed. If the Seahawks manage to win their division and we win out, we will be number 1 seed period.
