Observations from the Saints' win against the Titans

1. Michael Thomas. You can't guard him. Period.

2. Patrick Robinson had a really nice day. Made som great tackles in the run defence and the last pas breakup was a thing of beauty.

3. The fact that Demario Davis was not elected to the Pro bowl just shows how much of a sham that thing is. He might very well be the best LB in the league right now.

4. O-line started off really shaky but managed to shore it up. I can't wait to have our guards back. Ram gave up a really bad sack, its the first play like that I've seen from him this year.

5. We have a ton of talent (no pun intended) on the interior D-line. Onyemata, Stallowrth, Tuttle, I like them all.

6. D-line as a whole showed up much better this week compared to the last. Brought good pressure all the way.

7. I hope we can keep Harris around for a long time. You know you have a weapon when the other team starts squib-kicking the kick offs.

8. I loved the punt fake. Good call but a bad drop.

9. We got to see the real Kamara today. The burst was back and so was his decisiveness. The play that impressed me the most was the block on Cook's TD and that seemed to really spark him.

10. Cook is really starting to show up for us. He is a tremendous athlete.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

12-3 Who Dats!

Can't Guard Mike gets the record. Glad he caught a TD for it too, albeit a catch later.

#20 Jenkins looks good as a late FA pickup.

Kamara showed flashes of improvement today.

Overall a very satisfying win.

Cook has 8 TD's in the last 9 games, quietly put together a very good season for us.

Thomas is the best in the league at this moment, not one person can deny that. Its unreal what hes been able to do this year.

Good win against a solid team. Tennessee is my dark horse pick for the AFC playoffs, if they would have had Henry in it may have been a different game. Overall, a lot to work on, but a road win is always good. And yes Kamara made a few ‘kamara’ type plays today... good to see because it’s been gone since week 3.

Re: Observations from the Saints' win against the Titans

Try Chauncey Gardner Johnson at Free Safety.

He's a rookie but not afraid to make a play and will light your a** up. We need more young dawgs like that. Marcus Williams is still whiffing on tackles.

Get well soon but I'm not so sure he's the long term answer at FS. With all the criticism Alvin Kamara gets, I'm surprised no one is really focusing in on the lack of production last few weeks from Williams.

Re: Observations from the Saints' win against the Titans

1) Too many flags in this game, both ways really. Boger-ball

2) CGM is an animal. Honestly, Logan Ryan and the other Titans DB's actually covered him pretty well, still didn't matter.

3) CJGJ looks pretty good in safety positions. He did a great job on that big hit not leading with his head and then having the presence of mind to recover the ball.

4) Patrick Robinson got himself out of the doghouse to say the least. Let's hope he keeps it up.

5) Got quite pass-happy on a rainy day at times. Kind of fortunate it didn't cost us. Brees was just inches from being sacked for a safety. We caught a few breaks.

6) Good thing Henry wasn't playing today because the Titans run-blocked quite well.

7) Panthers got walloped today, seems like a trap game coming our way.

Re: Observations from the Saints' win against the Titans

Quick Hits...
  • Saints will have to play a near-perfect game each time they take the field to win the Superbowl with the officiating their getting...

  • Drew Brees inconspicuously showed why he's the GOAT with an audible that resulted in a long Kamara TD run...

  • Our secondary has been playing injured because when their reinforcements relieved him, we saw some some secondary play in the second half...

  • Seems funny to see such a big man fly under the radar, but Shy Tuttle with David Onyemata gives the Saints options next Free Agency, Draft...

  • Thought our reserve guards played very well against a very talented, very strong, very tough Titans' front seven...

  • Until someone stops us, Payton needs to pound the middle with Murray, and gash the outside with Kamara...

  • A.J. Klein is a very underrated, very unappreciated pash rusher as he had two sacks on the day...

  • Trey Hendickson may be five pounds light as an every down defensive end, but he brought consistent pressure opposite Jordan...

  • Gardner may be our best steal in the draft since the '17 draft and as our Strong Safety, is in the perfect position to be a difference maker

  • Cam Jordan has achieved the irreplaceable level that Drew Brees has for this Saints Franchise...

  • Jared Cook was slow out the gate, but is really coming on for the Saints passing game...

  • As thin as the WR position is, really believe Ginn is hurting us more than he's helping and he should be left INACTIVE moving forward...

  • Mike Thomas has now ended the debate as to who is the best Wide Receiver in the NFL and if he keeps this level for five more years, wow...
