Saints make several roster moves before Week 17, waive DeShawn Shead
 

Two players were waived from the active roster, including veteran offensive tackle Michael Ola and recently-signed defensive back DeShawn Shead.

In their place, the Saints called up practice squad wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and brought back fullback Ricky Ortiz. Ortiz spent a few weeks on the Saints practice squad from Nov. 22 to Dec. 4, while Humphrey was promoted to the active roster for several games earlier this year.

I just wanna know why we're leaving Emmanuel Sanders on the practice squad. Sheesh, this whole time I thought he was playing for the 49ers.

Butler. He's either hurt, injured or simply not getting much praise from Curtis Johnson and company at practice.

He was my camp dark horse.

I won't hold my breath on Southlake (Jordan H) though.

I hope the "plan" is to bring Shead back on Monday.

We got a lot of injured guys on the back end & he's an experienced vet with playoff/super bowl experience.

At one point he was getting owned on every snap . Couldn’t believe he hung around that long.

We must have the busiest roster in the NFL. Why haven't we snapped up somebody off another teams practice squad? We do that almost every year lately.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think Southlake played in on a meaningful snap vs a bad Carolina team. AB when focused is a top 2 WR in the league and Jordan has done nothing at this level of football. Those two should never be used in the same sentence.

For the life of me, I'm not getting the hype on this kid. He's at least a year or 2 away from making any impact at WR in the NFL .. at least not in New Orleans.
