Walker: There's only one team that can stop the Saints in the playoffs...

A couple impromptu watch parties popped up in Bank of America Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Saints owner Gayle Benson, general manager Mickey Loomis and about a dozen or so more of the Saints' front office brass gathered around a television in the press box. Saints players did the same thing in the locker room. The Saints had done all they could do, delivering a 42-10 beatdown of the Carolina Panthers to put a pretty bow on their second straight 13-3 season. https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.town...ze=1700%2C1133 Now they were hoping to get a little help from the helpless Detroit Lions, who were playing the Green Bay Packers. Matt Bowers, a diehard Saints fan and owner of six car dealerships even offered Detroit quarterback David Blough a new car if the Lions could some how pull off the upset. more on NOLA |

Since we are stating possibilities, it is possible for a meteor to strike earth and end all humanity.
There is only one team with a high probability of beating us and I’m speaking of the Zebras/Referees. We have this ****ing habit lately of being close enough in games that they can shift the momentum at will. We needs to play clean ball, we are capable of winning out playing clean ball. |

If indeed the League has it deemed the Saints not win it matters not how much pedal mashing they do. The "Officials" control the tempo. An illegal hands to the face, offensive holding........ Pick a foul any foul the die was cast during last years NFCCG.
I'll be surprised if all of a sudden the coaches challenges go the way they should. |
Re: Walker: There's only one team that can stop the Saints in the playoffs...
I know the concept is difficult to swallow especially to the die-hard fans but professional football is no longer a sport. The NFL is roughly a 100+ Billion dollar entertainment industry (combined team valuation) with the Saints ranking 25th our of 32 teams in team value.
Make no mistake the sport ends in college, the entertainment product is the NFL and the league will do what ever it takes to maintain the products value. No one is out to get the Saints, they are out to grow their high value products and bolster new ones.. We just happen t be collateral damage from time to time. Doubt me? Why do you think the Cowboys are the most talked about team in the league at 8-8? Because they are most valuable team in the league at $5.5BN ($1.4BN more than the Patriots).'Cowboys are worth ore than Saints + Chiefs combined. |
