New Orleans Saints Wednesday Injury Report: Wild Card game vs. Minnesota Vikings

Happy New Year B&G nation :bng: …

Six New Orleans Saints players were listed on Wednesday's Injury Report for the Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints held a walk-through Wednesday so the injury statuses are estimations.

Wow, Line is still out...

We're gonna have to keep another big RB type who can double as a FB...

Ortiz made a nice play, but we need that second Line (pun intended) to open the wholes for Murray/Kamara...

I know it's Wednesday but Kendricks & Mackenzie were both DNP on today's report.

Even if they play on Sunday, SP is going right after both. Kamara will eat up a hobbled LB trying to cover him in the flats.

Washington got hurt within the span of like 4 snaps?

The ball hit the ground an alarming amount of times when targeting CGM. For our sakes, I hope the hand ain’t an issue.

Something was definitely different in Carolina . Either we went vanilla on routes or MT was getting set up for a beating. They played man on him with a safety on top and he put a beat down on mike with a running start. Maybe Rezburna could explain what we’re happening .

-On CGM: it seemed like Drew was actually looking for other receivers first, which might have been a way to limit Thomas' exposure without taking him off the field.
-Oline: NO one? that's amazing considering where we were two weeks ago
-DB's: we really need Bell OR Williams back. Their TE's are good and targeted a lot. Corners will have their hands full with Thielen and Diggs (even tho neither has done much lately)

THURSDAY
For the Saints, CB Eli Apple (ankle) and fullback Zach Line (knee) did not participate in practice onThursday.

Safety Vonn Bell (knee), cornerback Marcus Williams (groin), wide receiver Michael Thomas (hand), running back Dwayne Washington (knee) were all full participants in practice on Thursday.

Whats up with zack line it must be a really bad knee or he’s really close to returning?

Michael Hughes & MacKensie Alexander both out at corner on Sunday.

Vikes could be in serious trouble on those boundaries.

Can't be too bad or else he would have been placed on season ending IR by now.

Ortiz is more than capable in his back up role.

As far as CGM on dropping a few, I could see they were trying hard to blow him up, and Drew was a little off — just enough to set Mike up to take a beating

Zach Line can double our production running the ball. He's that good. Ortiz didn't impress me by opening running gaps.

They resigned Sherels-
cue to everyone to worry about him sharing our playbook

I hate the whole “sharing the playbook” deal... the Vikings have 16 games of tape on our team. There isn’t a single play or coverage they won’t have tape on. Furthermore, even if you have the entire playbook you still don’t know what is getting called. In my opinion it means nothing, particularly with how far into the season we are.
