I am saying otherwise...sue me. When Taysom was running the ball before the fumble, Payton should have called a run/quick pass. We all knew the Vikings D line were coming after him. Brees should have known this and audibled out of the play that was sent in, and when he got chased, covered up the ball. Safety help was non-existent for us and our Online was like a sieve. Wil Lutz missed a field goal and our D-line didn't get to Cousins as much as I would have liked but behind them, we left the field open. So no, I don't put this on Brees, I put this on the Saints.
Rueben Mayes likes this.

There are plenty to blame, but you expect Brees to play better... put the team on his shoulders... he wasn’t capable when it mattered. He isn’t a great QB in the playoffs.

I would expect Brees to do better. After all he is the captain, the talisman, the guy who gets the bucks.

He always has CGM to look to, Always helpful when things get tough. But, but, Kamara has been in a season long funk. And further unhelpful with getting pushed Out of bounds 1, 2, 3 yards short of the chains.

So much to look at in this team of ours. Perhaps we can do it with a cold precise analytical brain rather than our rose-tinted heart,

I think having Taysom Hill in there more would've won us the game.

Sadly, was not an upset, insofar that it looked like the Vikings day from the start. Any upset was that we actually got the game into OT.
