Read today in the advocate BR paper that Carl granderson has bulked up to 277lbs and didn’t lose a step and Payton has been pleased with it

FYI ...

Has yet to practice in black and gold.

** Edit - didn't practice today (8/28) either/ Day 10.

He was always a long shot brother. He wasn’t going to make an impact.

Eliminate Demario out of equation and the rest of the LB corps has extensive injury histories.

Saints need all the depth (Chik fil A is a good special team player) they can get. Not to mention we just waived a solid vet with big game experience.

I'm not ringing the alarm however there is reason to be cautious... specifically at the LB position where the Saints have had a history of guys not staying healthy.

In the Steeler 3-4 defense he was a hand in the dirt, 2 point stance DE however he did see some action last season at LB.

Good special team player though.

12 -Marquez Callaway (UDFA 2020)
46 -Joe Bachie (UDFA 2020)
16 - Bennie Fowler (FA 2020

All competing for a roster spot & the best way to get there is to excel on special teams. This weekend's scrimmage will be very important for these guys.
