Another team friendly contract. Seems to me a couple of years back some folks were berating Drew for taking the fair market value while Tom Brady was taking less to add pieces to their Super bowl window. I guess it's Drew's turn now. Hopefully that means another Lombardi.

One step further, by his own example of leadership and dedication, Brees has earned that level of respect from the Saints to be included and have weight in those offensive teammate personnel decisions... Best example of a High Level of Trust in a franchise player is exemplified in the film North Dallas Forty based on the book by former Cowboy Peter Gent and adventures with his QB 'Dandy' Don Meredith... Late in the film QB Seth Maxwell (Mac Davis) argues with Head Coach B. A. Strother (G. D. Spradlin), based on Tom Landry, to set aside pride and some draconian team rules in a key division late season game... B.A. after some other failed decisions relents to his QB and lets the reliable hands of Phil Elliott (Nick Nolte) out of the dog-house and into a game-winning drive - this would be the Level of Trust I'm referring... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
