He ain't going to retire until Brady does. I just don't see it. Drew is always chasing records. If he retires before Brady, he could lose some of his records.

I will say this, Brady coming to the NFC South may have a positive effect. Brees loves competition. Plus who can complain about a Brady Vs Brees game 2 times a year. More if both make the playoffs.

Nah man. I just believe that they're important to him. And by all accounts, I'd like him to retire with as many as possible.

Good hell man. Hopefully he can can get another ring or 2 before he hangs it up.

That is a distinction without a difference isn't it? Safe to say that NFL records are a thought on ALL NFL players minds. He ha never stated or hinted that he plays with the goal of breaking a record.

Great players will be in the record books because people that create the record books compose the records from stats that make great players.

Well Nobody will ever say I’m in it for the records , not Drew not ST not jnorm not AG not JP and Tom Brady etc. Even Francis the mule not think for one minute that Brees is not thinking I’m leaving this game with a record that will never be broken is ludicrous

Still early but if I'm Brees, take a pay cut and the team doesn't give me another weapon or OL help I would be pissed.

Well, since they added in another game each year records are going to fall faster. Maybe this will keep Drew highly motivated to play football for another couple of years to insure that some one has to work their ass off for a long time to take any of his records away. He has so many I doubt that they will all be broken.

My favorite stat was that Drew had the most consecutive starts before injury and then came back to break his own record.
