Sean Payton has the Coronavirus
 

The NFL is taking COVID-19 very seriously, and on Thursday an example of a positive COVID-19 test from within NFL community underscored that it should be.

Saints coach Sean Payton told ESPN that he has tested positive for the virus.

There’s no mention as to whether Payton, 56, is suffering from any symptoms. Many who have the virus have no symptoms, or mild ones.

Payton told ESPN that he came forward with the diagnosis to encourage people to “heed the warnings of government officials, stay inside, and behave responsibly.”

Amen to that. We wish Coach Payton a quick recovery, and we thank him for shining a light on the importance of doing whatever we can to limit the spread of the virus.

This thing is a lot more serious than I first expected.at first I was just thinking everyone is soft as hell but after Italy I see how bad this really is.

Italy does have one of the world's largest populations of elderly in the world. And smoking has been the norm for decades there. Not a good combination for COVID-19.

Not surprising. Only a very small percentage of the population has been tested. There will be thousands more here in LA once they get enough test kits in to test people with symptoms. Even more people will be infected and never even know it. If you are elderly or at risk please just stay home if you can.

The draft is supposed to be completely remote. From a message Payton just put out he appears to be fine and has four more days of home isolation before he is cleared. He said he had no respiratory symptoms at all.

Unfortunately the population is due for a good culling. This virus seems like it’s perfect for population control. Wouldn’t put this past the Chinese as a way to weed out the sick and elderly in an overpopulated country.

Positive tests going up because testing has gone up... mortality rate dropping quickly.
