I bet if it was last season and we sign him people say no, he got hurt the prior two seasons....meh.

He's the same age as Larry Fitzgerald was three years ago when Fitz had 107 catches for 1023 yards. He's one year younger than Fitz was when he had 109 catches for 1156 in 2018. You need to get over this meaningless age crap. Fitz is one of those five WR's that has been targeted 500+ times over the last five years and dropped fewer than 20 ... along with Emmanuel Sanders!

He's no Fitz. Not even close. Fitz is first ballot. One of the best to ever play the game.

Forget the "Fitz" comparison for a moment Beast.

Sanders fills a specific need in New Orleans. He's been very effective out of the slot ... something we have lacked going back to the Willie Snead days.

Even at his age, Emmanuel is still a very good player and like B&G stated ... affordable. When you are a contender like the Saints, you sign smart, veteran (M Jenkins, Sanders) players, not guys who will likely pan out 3 or 4 years down the road. WIN NOW.

What's not to like here?

No he isn't, but over that period he has been very good. My example was showing that age isn't always a factor as you ALWAYS seem to portray.

The guy has had several legitimate star seasons. I get that he's not as young as he once was, but he's not coming here to be a #1. He's a complementary piece, and a damn fine one at that. I wanted him last year but it didn't work out. I'm thrilled to have him this year. He will only help our passing game.

Now you’re just being argumentative. Fitz is no doubt a first ballot HOF player.
Comparing Sanders and Fitz is like comparing Winston and Brees just because Winston threw for 5k last year.

Never mind I misinterpreted your post.

ES is still a superior route runner.

Quick feet, has a burst, can sell vertical (that's how you get separation).

2 steps out of his break ... he's open. Thomas and Sanders will get a ton of targets.

It will be nice to know that #9 has more than one capable receiver who can create separation and be where he needs to be once the pass is delivered.

Anything that Tre Smith brings to the table in 2020 ... lagniappe.

Not to mention, he'll also have the most accurate QB throwing the ball in his entire career.
