He's asking for massive money isn't he?

Don't think he's ever really lived up to the hype he had coming out of college to be honest. To never have registrered 10 sacks in a season, only 3 last year. Especially in a team with JJ Watt and Mercilus for teams to worry about.

I would prefer Griffin

He's nowhere near worth 20 mil per.

Everson a much better option.

Re: Jadeveon Clowney ... should we?

You might get 13 games out of him and if you look at his sacks from 2019 (3), I'm not sure he's going to have the production his pricetag would demand, even with Jordan on the other end. Could be him getting extra attention, or the same old rap coming out of college, which is he 'takes plays off'.

I would say, a big, unhesitant, NO!

Sign him on a one year prove it deal for vet minimum.:roflmao:

He’s graded out elite these past two years. Seattle is offering $18.5 million a year. Offer him 3 years - $19 million. Him and Jordan would alleviate a lot of our secondary woes.

Apparently Cam Jordan is promoting Dion Jordan as the guy we need to sign

That’s a whole lot of speed.

Can't afford Clowney and he's probably better for a 3-4 anyway.

Nah, I wouldn’t say that. I think he was always better suited for the 4-3. He just posted a 87.3 grade in the 4-3. Best he’s ever done. Only .3 points behind our own Cam Jordan. Honestly, who are we saving the big money for if not somebody like Clowney?

Go for it. It ain’t my money and it’ll be fun. I think Everson Griffen would be the safer bet though.

For Defensive End? I'd wait till after the draft to see if we can't find someone we can't build with after Drew leaves and Taysom takes over...

If Seattle does not re-sign him, it looks RW having to carry that team again.

Re: Jadeveon Clowney ... should we?

I'd like to see Clowney team up with Cam on a "one year prove type deal", however the Saints threw ridiculous money at the weakest link on the O line a few days ago. But we have Loomis so there's that.

Wouldn't be mad if we somehow landed Everson Griffen though.

Interesting ...

Fun fact : Dion Jordan was the 3rd pick in the 1st round of the 2013 NFL DRAFT by the Miami Dolphins.

Jeff Ireland was the GM of the Dolphins at the time and current Saints GM.
