I proposed it today. Arm talent is crazy. Change of scenery might do him good. He a lil’ slow though...lol.

Crazy talented, but needs polish and can lose his cool at times. (see sideline incident against Saints)
Still, not sure if the Saints should consider him. |

Would his pregame speech fit in here , though? |

I don’t want his goofy ass over here.

Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
I'd rather grab Brian Hoyer, who it looks like the Colts just cut. Or possibly Joe Flacco. No need to groom anyone because Taysom is the dude we're grooming.

Please no. He's a clown.

Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
Saints will draft or sign an UDFA QB .

Because he is not an NFL QB. He's not the future there. I'm sorry. He wasn't a good passer in college, either. An elite athlete is always what he's been. And by the time Drew retires, he'll be, what, 32? I don't understand the Taysom as heir apparent talk. |
Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
We'll try to draft a quarterback in Round 3 or 4 - Keep an eye on FIUs James Morgan...
Then we'll sign two for training camp - Taysom is the future... |

Dear God! Not here please. I know Sean has the virus and might be delirious but surely he's not that sick.

Bahahahaha! I think the offense we run under SP requires someone with an IQ larger than their shoe size.

Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
This sequence of events might just humble him. As some other have stated, the arm talent is there. I’d be willing to give him a shot on a one year deal heavily incentive based and see if he can make it through camp...if we even have one.

Who do they think he is? LUKE McCOWN!!! GAMES 62 STARTED 10 PASS COMP 216 PASS ATT 356 COMPLETION % 60.7 YDS PASSING 2,370 AVG PP 6.7 TD'S 9 INT 15 QB RATING 71.3 RUSH ATT 34 TOTAL YDS 177 AVG 5.2 TTD 0 Considering Taysom Hill has not started or played a complete game at the QB position. The few passes he completed went for an average of 9.2 yards. Nearly 3 yards more than Luke's career and nearly 2 yards more than Drew Brees and Matty Ice's Career. The preseason game against the Chargers he went 11-15, 136 YDS, 2 TD for a 73% completion average & 12.3 yds PP Sure it was a preseason game but using his passing stats based on "gimmick" plays to determine he is or isn't NFL starting capable is ludicrous. |
Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
He is a dangerous multi-tooled weapon at numerous positions.
He is not a long term starting QB in the NFL. |

Please no.

Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
Tampa went 7-9 with Jameis throwing 30 INT's. They'll be a whole lot better with ball security now that Brady is under center.
I think Winston will end up as a back up with Chargers or the Browns. |

Steelers Saints Seahawks I think those are the best places for him to get better coaching and learn from some elite players at his position. He threw 30 picks. Undeniable. He also threw for 5,000 yards and 33 TD’s. I truly believe there’s so much untapped potential there. |

Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
I'm just going off the description of the video in the OP.. regardless of interception totals, that'd be absolutely bonkers for someone to throw 30 TD's, then quit and go play baseball the following year. Dude's still an NFLer who'd be an upgrade on several teams current starting QB. I'd be more than fine bringing him in as a backup if the money was right..Taysom may be unhappy with that though, after receiving a 1st round RFA tender.
I'm expecting a vet QB to be brought in, but someone less skilled and more of an NFL journeyman, to provide 3rd string insurance so Taysom can have a real shot. Guys like Jameis and Cam would easily take the #2 QB spot over Hill. |
Re: Would Jameis Winston consider being a backup on Steelers or Saints? | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
No need for it, Taysom is going to have a decent cap hit this year along with Brees. Adding another high paid QB to the roster would be a waste of cap space.

Or maybe the Houston Texans are stupid enough to trade D Watson?
O'Brien doesn't have a clue down there. |

I'm pretty sure Taysom is the backup and we're not going to spend money there this year. Best we sure up offensive line and bring in weapons for Brees. We're already addressing those things and have our nuclear WR #2 already.
