I don’t know what the heck has happened to Vonn Bell. All I’ve heard (as reported by Nick Underhill) was that the Saints offered him a deal averaging $7.5 mil/year and his agent didn’t get back to us. We decided to move on to Malcolm Jenkins. Now nobody seems to be in a rush to lock him up.

Chauncey Gardner-J 2019 rookie performance was the writing on the wall for Bell. We got a sample size but his coverage skills are already better than Vonn. I think the coaches wanted Malcolm's leadership (to groom the younger guys) but ultimately see Chauncey as the future for years to come.

He's a dawg.

Vonn is gone.

He seems to have been replaced by a savvy veteran who provides leadership and playmaking. Not just tackling in the box.
