Stinchcomb

Just got back from practice so no link to give, but after running a dive up the middle, a saints player lay motionless under the pile. The trainers ran out and immediately called in the stretcher and you could see it was Stinchcomb getting put into an ambulance that tore out of the practice field. The rest of the practice was eerie quiet and i dont know what his condition is or the extent of his injury, but say a prayer because after Gandy we go to Spencer Folau who doesn't look very good so far. I will post more if i hear an update on his condition.

How unfortunate... I hope he's okay.

If it is "serious" I wouldn't count on him being back till mid-season at best. Too bad, he was having a good offseason. I hope he can make a come back. We'll need him next season if we part ways with Gandy.

I feel bad for the guy. He busted his a$$ in the off season.

Damn Stinch. Wish you the best man.

I hate the preseason

I hate the preseason for this very reason. A whole month for our team to beat on each other and have season ending injuries when it doesn't matter. There should be two weeks of training camp, no preseason games and then straight into the season. It would be fair for everyone. Everyone is in shape with offseason conditioning the way it is so the only real need for camp is for rookies to learn the system and backups to win jobs. If we lose a starter I am just going to lose it, I swear!

The kid has worked so hard and was having a great camp. I hope he bounces back.

Even though it sucks to lose a player in the preseason, I really think that these workouts are necessary in order for the team to be firing on all cylinders by the start of the season. Imagine having your team's first real contact situation be in the 1st game of the season when it really counted; everybody would be sluggish and the team wouldn't be as polished as they should be. Although it sucks that we lost a good player, the offseason will help the Saints become a better team. Besides, it is a chance for the guys to get into better shape because when most of them report to camp, they are not in the kind of condition they need to be for a regular season game. The preseason is a necessary thing
