I hate the chargers and even more the Patriots. Still, Patrick Queen was their for the pick. THEY MUST make a trade for a second round and Warford might be that ticket to get back in the 2nd rd

Yep, the Chargers stole our pick. They knew we were gonna take Murray so they made the move.

I was hoping to hear Queen, Oh well, another one bites the dust.

Logan Wilson is the prototype for what we look for in a LB. I suspect we’ll find some way to get him today.

What about Markus Golden?

I haven't seen a lot of Murray but read he won't do well in the NFL, too many missed tackles not great in coverage.

If you saw more of Kenneth Murray, you wouldn't be saying that. He has a lot of the same traits Demario Davis has.

The Saints will bring in a veteran LB at some point.

I'm ok with not selecting Murray @ 24. There are tons of dawgs at linebacker taken in the middle rounds. See the Niners roster at LB.

Don't forget Golden, Olgetree, Matthews are still out there.

While we're okay at Linebacker, I'm still more concerned about Defensive End and not having one available opposite Cam Jordan come playoff time...

They were scored on a ton, weren't they?

Just reading opinions of him. Time will tell

This comparison is ugly

"Zone Cover Ability: Solid zone coverage player in simple responsibilities at this time, but more will be needed from him in the league. Controlled and fluid in most of his drops, though he can get suckered in by backfield action/QB eyes and get happy feet, squaring himself to the line of scrimmage. Does not yet have good instincts for routes developing behind him and will unintentionally overlap with his teammates, exposing players in space. Struggles mightily to recover after play-action gets him into the backfield. Experience needed here.

Round Grade: Incomplete

Best Trait: Range

Worst Trait: Decision-Making

Player Comparison: Stephone Anthony

Summary: Kenneth Murray is a Day 2 linebacker prospect with a higher ceiling in a different scheme. Behind the slanting front of Alex Grinch and against complex, pulling Big 12 offenses, Murray struggled to generate a high impact play between the tackles, as he was frequently scraping and working to redirect his momentum into the backfield. Murray projects best to a 3-4 SILB or 4-3 SAM role, that allows him to play directly downhill into the trees and blow up blockers, while making strong plays into the boundary with his unique speed and length at his size. Murray is a high upside prospect if deployed correctly, and is a candidate for Year 2 starting responsibilities if he improves his zone coverage drops."

Oklahoma's defense year in year out is atrocious. That however isn't a good representation of Murray. Bad teams can produce good players. He really stand outs of the football field and I love his backstory. I think San Diego got a good one.

Being honest I haven't watched him much to offer an informed opinion. His back story does make you root for him.

God! I hope not! Anthony was here for a 3-4 defense I believe and was a huge bust in the 4-3. I don't think that he's that smart either and that could explain his gaffes.

What I like about Baun's tape is that he doesn't miss a lot of open field tackles and also excels as a pass rusher.

If he stays healthy, he helps us tremendously at linebacker.

Good middle round draft pick.
