Nothing personal here on Ginn Jr but ...

You gotta be able to consistently catch the ball, specifically in clutch moments.

His main job was to clear out the defenders for underneath routes to open up, on the rare occasion he did get a pass thrown his way - it was dropped.

Re: Ginn Gone

Yes he had problems with his consistency, but to be in the league as long as he has he must have been doing something right.

Best of luck Mr. Ginn. Except when you play us.

Just a bit of stats here. Ginn had 7 drops last year. The same number as Christian McCaffrey and Odell Beckham. Julian Edelman led the league with 13. But, yes, he had less targets so his percentage was higher.

I think it was great that he was able to extend his career with the Saints, but he did not extend it into 2019, its been over.

We still need a receiver besides Sanders who is a consistent threat. I have zero faith in Smith. Don’t know whose out there but we need someone.
You can only get by with Taysom there so much before defenses figure him out.

He had nowhere near the volume of them. Stupid comparison. I know you are not stupid either but this is a totally dumb analogy.

He is old. He had limited opportunities. He dropped a lot of them and put shame on himself. He no longer plays for us because of it.

Fans may be happy to be rid of him, but his teammates definitely are not. By all accounts Ted is one of the best guys and a tremendous mentor.

Exactly right. AG's surely can twist a stat. I've never been a stat guy and his example is a perfect reason why. Just like throwing for a ton of yards during junk time . Numbers never lie, right?

Wasn't trying to prove or show anything. I just thought it was an interesting stat even though it had no intrinsic value. I even pointed out the fact that the number of targets was lower.

Nobody mentions how many times Ginn was under-thrown? Just saying not a stat rite?

Rarely did I see Ginn Jr help out his QB by coming back or "fighting" for the ball in 2019. Gotta be able to do more than just run the 9/go route and catch rainbows. Make a play.

Good luck in Chicago though.

Even though he's been a Saint he was still been a no show.....he might as well have not even been here.

Ginn had speed. That's about the extent of his value. We have more speed on the roster.

Good luck in Chicago, I hear your hands shrink in freezing temps!
