this is a guy i think the saints should look at at MLB, he is a probowl caliber player who played with a shoulder injury last year and still posted 102 tackles but a return to a healthy form would make him an excellent addition to a porus D with a huge hole at MLB, he was the single most important Player on the Lions D besides maybe robert porche, anyway, he is still young, and has increased his tackle total every year

1999 Totals:50 tackles 1.5 sacks 0 ints
2000 Totals:65 tackles 1.0 sacks 1 ints
2001 Totals:77 tackles 4.0 sacks 2 ints
2002 Totals:102 tackles 4.5 sacks 3 ints

here is a lil bio:

6'3" - 258 lbs
USC
4 Years Experience
DOB: 07/26/1978

After posting 102 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions (including one for a touchdown), in 2002 Claiborne has proven that he can do it all from the middle linebacker position
