Trading up to 4th Pick?
Bad idea. We need players to help our defense. I like two first rounders at 17 and 18 way more than one at number 4. Give Oakland a one and two (that we get for Turley) for Woodson and then use the other one for whichever DT is still on the board when we pick or E.J. Henderson. Don\'t give away two picks to move up 13 spots.

I\'m all for it. Woodson is off of the trading block and Newman would shut down one half of the field for years to come.

Thank you Pak. There are times when you actually do have the kind of sense only seen before in a little green man-thing with big pointy ears. Now is one of those times. LOL.

Let\'s hope that this is a rumor started by some wishfully thinking Bears personnel or media people in Chicago. Becuase frankly, this is the worst idea I\'ve heard the Saints organization consider (assuming they are considering it) since the Ricky deal. This is terrible. Absolutely, completely, utterly a bad idea.
Maybe, MAYBE, a first and a third to move up. Otherwise, screw it. IF the Saints move up, it would be to FILL A POSITION OF NEED. Doesn\'t that go against the Haslett regime\'s entire strategy? A first and a third to move up to number 4 - OK. NOT, under any circumstances TWO firsts in the SAME YEAR. If we do that, whoever we pick better be a Pro Bowler as a rookie and better stay that way for about 8 straight years. God, what a bad idea. Gator, you\'re exactly right. This is like the Saints punting in the fourth quarter, up by two, with about 2 minutes left in the game. |

another sad point about this is, newman is 25 years old, and will be 26 when the season starts, meaning he will be the same age as woodson who has been in the league 4 years!!!

That was even funnier than my rant yesterday. Nice Gator. :D

I\'m the biggest Saints fan in Alaska. In a state where people find loyalties to past superbowl teams, I\'ve had to defend my love for the Saints all my life. You guys are my support group. :mad2:

Woah - that IS a good idea. They\'ll probably argue that you didn\'t have to watch them, but then again the cigarette companies argument that people choose to smoke failed miserably. In fact, cigarettes even have a warning. The Saints don\'t have any warnings. Damn Gator, that actually is a very good idea. Talk to someone at your firm... see what they can come up with.... ;)
I wouldn\'t do it, but honestly I think someone could and they would win. I heard on the radio a few days ago about a guy who bought an RV, brought it on the interstate, put on cruise control and then got up out of the driver\'s seat to go in the back and make coffee. Needless to say the thing ran off the road and crashed. What\'s amazing is that he sued Winnebago b/c their manual did not say that when cruise control is on the vehicle will NOT steer itself. He was awarded $1.75 million and a new RV. If he can win that, someone can win against the Saints. |

I could dig that. I have suffered. I have displaced my anger at times on things, living or otherwise. I\'ve lost friends, family. Burned my car.
THE SAINTS OWE ME! Thanks guys. I\'m going to go find a lawyer. (Anybody know what lawyer was involved in suing McD\'s?) |
